Welcome to Snowy Mountains Cider! We are Greg and Ali, a husband and wife team, who set out in 2022 on our journey to make quality craft cider in the pure natural environment of our farm in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. We are passionate about living in harmony with nature, creating a community based on authentic relationships, and making the world a better place for the next generation to inherit. Together we manage Fell Timber Farm, and while Greg oversees the cider production, Ali heads up Helping Hooves Fell Timber, an Equine Assisted Learning business. Follow our cider journey by clicking on the tab above. Alternatively, we'd love to hear from you, so please do drop us a line using the form on the Our Details page.
All the fruit we use in our cider is 100% Australian grown and pressed fresh at Fell Timber Farm in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. It is here that we have planted our own organic cider orchard growing at an altitude of 1,170m (higher than the summit of Mount Snowdon in Wales!). The orchard enjoys long, cold winters which helps our 14 varieties of apple set over the winter and we believe the clean, pure air gives our apples a crisp, fresh taste that is reflected in our cider. Our aim is to double the size of the orchard over the next three years, including increasing the number of heritage cider apple varieties we grow here. We truely believe that the apple is king, and our mission is not only to produce a range of high quality, boutique craft ciders, but also help to preserve the rich variety of cider apple species in Australia. The current varieties of apple species in our orchard are listed below.
